2018-07-28 Inglewood, CA

A fun Julius and Suzy Greenberg to open, but things REALLY get cookin with a fiery Timber!

First notable highlight imo. Pretty sick.

Amazing (for my taste) setlist tonight!!!!
Jibboo>Fuego and a 16 minute Soul Planet?!

Yes please!

Kill Devil Falls - A suprisingly very-jammed version. Didn't reach the peaks of Timber despite its lenght though. Gonna call this one a nice try :)

555 seemed lacking in energy, but Trey did let some monster leads rip towards the end

 Pretty disappointing first set!

Timber was hot, NMINM'sL was incredible and Gin was really good.

Outside of that I'd genuinely say most of this set was entirely skippable. o_O
Just a major lack of energy (on tape, anyways) for most of it. Nothing poor but not much to make you perk up and take notice, ya know? I even enjoy the song selection and on a better night I'm sure I would've rave about Tide Turns....

 Gotta Jibboo>Fuego

Wow!

Jibboo was straight fire - had me headbanging. And Fuego is gooey, jammy, Type II goodness.
Absolutely both are must-hear for sure. Don't skip out on them!

Fuego -

You guys were right - this is really SOMETHIN'!!!

This is one of those EPIC "how did we get there?!" kind of jams where you have no memory of the song itself because the jam is light years removed from the source material. One of the best 2 or 3 jams of the shows I've heard from Summer 18 so far. Easily.

Damn.

On .NET people complained about BOAF breaking up the 2nd set flow but I didn't get that at all. After the blissful, uplifting conclusion we had with Fuego, it was wonderful to have them just "BAM" punch me in the face with an absolutely RAGING BOAF that was hotter than the sun. A definite highlight for me. Smashing.

Felt perfectly placed to me!

Man oh man this Soul Planet is bringing back memories of a certain special summer 1999 Chalkdust that we all know and love. Incredible jamming. For real.

Jibboo>Fuego and now this Soul Planet are absolutely incredible.

I don't care that most of the first set was trash (ok, that's harsh, but it wasn't great, lol) - this more than makes up for it.

Holy mother freaking crap...

:bigeek::bigeek::bigeek:

Oh my good god this Wingsuit

Trey is destroying universes, ripping it up like he's playing lead for some 1970's classic rock outfit.

Oh my god.

In conclusion, here is everything you absolutely NEED in your life!

First set was mostly a downer but set 2 destroyed worlds.

Yes, Cavern and Character Zero are on this list! :p

No, I am actually not exaggerating for a change.
