2010-06-11 Chicago, IL

 And the journey continues!

Onwards we go with 6/11/10, Chicago, IL

An absolutely fantastic setlist (for my taste, at least - can't beat a Disease opener!), the show opens with a RIPPING Down With Disease that sees the guys already at energy level Mach 10. :D It's the kind of energy that makes the hair on your arms stick up and a smile stretch across your face.

THIS IS SICK!

:D

Check out this funky-as-hell Wolfman! The song portion seems pretty chill but around 4:50 Mike starts "slappin' da bass" and a funky jam slowly takes off. Trey isn't using distortion and it sounds great for keeping the mood. Mike is friggin' POPPIN' them strings though!!!

Possum puts the ripping DWD opener it it's place and kicks it to the curb - THIS POSSUM SHREDS!!! The energy level is so flippin' high tonight - I love it.

 GUYS THIS REBA IS INCREDIBLE!!!!

Boogie Woman was rockin as always but this Reba came out of nowhere and just destroyed the world. Holy cow. Literally better - I think - than every single 2009 version.

Woah.

Ok, set 1 was was straight fire!

Set 2 begins very promisingly with an awesome Bowie>Light>ambience>Maze that is just perfect.

Show 1 of 2010 was a scorcher. Loaded with fiery energy, all of set 1 was pretty much must-hear if you like this era.

Set 2 had some good jams but got kinda boring from Limb By Limb through Silent in the Morning (sorry guys, twas true).

After that things picked back up with a raging Antelope before beautiful Show of Life (I love this song - such a perfect closer!)

Rocking versions of Cavern and Julius sealed the deal.

A fantastic show and way to kick off the tour. Great stuff!
