2011-06-19 Portsmouth, VA

Onwards with 2011 - been another really rough week so 6/19/11 has been on my mind but I havent had the time to listen.

I'm devoting myself to it tonight, dang it.

First off - LOOK AT THIS FRIGGIN SETLIST!!!!

SET 1: Harpua[1] > Brother, Down with Disease > Back on the Train, Funky Bitch, Timber (Jerry The Mule), The Wedge, The Moma Dance, Thunder Road[2], Tube, Alaska > David Bowie

SET 2: Crosseyed and Painless > Walls of the Cave > Slave to the Traffic Light > Fluffhead > into "Sneakin' Sally."">Sand[3] > Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley > Light > Backwards Down the Number Line, Suzy Greenberg

ENCORE: Julius

A Harpua>Brother opener?!?!?!?! Timber, Thunder Road (in tribute to CC), Tube... and thats just the first set!

Wow, talk about a way to finish a tour! :)

Into Harpua we go! :D

6/17 and 6/18 were both outstanding shows - let's hope this one ends the show in just as good manner

-----------------------------------------

 Set 1 tonight was outstanding

Every single song was a highlight in one form or another. The boys are still playing exceptionally tight with nary a flub to be found, aside from that rough-but-loving Thunder Road

The whole set goes on my highlight list - it was just off the hook, yo

--------------------------------------

 Crosseyed>Walls of the Cave

Wow, talk about a 1-2 smash to the face to open the set!!!

Both rock, but unfortunately just as both were about to go into Type II land, Trey instead leads into the next song.

Not ripcorded, but he definitely goes "ok, that's enough" to both of them. Very frustrating.

Slave to the Traffic Light

Guys, really, check this one out. Gorgeous and mellow, patient and taking its time. This one is just exceptional. I'm usually a take-it-or-leave-it guy with Slave, so that's saying something.

Absolutely amazing version.

Slave>Fluffhead

Holy mother of Wilson, talk about a perfect pairing. Both were outstanding (as I waxed poetic above regarding Slave...)

Fluffhead was flawless. If anyone talks about them flubbing it in 3.0, send them directly here!!!

Loaded with energy and perfect execution, seriously a 10/10 version for 3.0

And then segueing perfectly into Sand...

This set just keeps getting more awesome as it goes :)
