 2 24 23 Mexico #2

Dinner and a Movie to open! First since...Bakers Dozen, I think?! Not perfect by any stretch, but we take what we can get!

I guess the guys came to throw down tonight because a FIERY Loving Cup gives way to a raging hot, 16 minute Wave of Hope!!!! This things kicks SO much tail!!! It goes Type 2 a good bit but is basically 16 minutes of headbanging paradise. Must hear! This ROCKS!

Th
en a 16 min Stash to follow?! Very strong reading of the song itself. The jam is pure X Factor Magic! DIGITAL BLEEP BLOOP DARK JAM CRAZINESS! MUST HEAR!!!!!!!!;;

THIS STASH IS A MASTERPIECE!!!!

That was Hampton 2018 Golden Age or Deer Creek 2021 Simple levels of incredible. A truly special Stash!!!!

Wow!!!

Heavy Things and 555 are both strong but inessential. But then Axilla II comes and OBLITERATES everything in sight! Terrific few minutes of soloing from Trey during the outro jam. Wow!!!

Then Joy comes and has us balling our eyes out. Gorgeous and potent as ever. Wonderful version. If they play this at MSG ill be weeping...

I guess 16 minutes is the time of the day because we now get a monster 16 min Melt to close the set!!!! This thing goes full blown screaming seagulls, heavenly bliss type 2. Exactly the kind of craziness you expect out of modern Melts. Ridiculous....

HOLY FRIGGIN CRAP THAT SET WAS AWESOME! KILLER ENERGY THROUGHOUT AND THREE 16 MINUTE JAMS!!!!

Dude...

That was the FIRST set and we got TWO legitimate Jam of the Year contenders already!!!

Set 2

Raging hot First Tube to open followed by a GLORIOUS 15 minute Waves!!! What even is this show?! Waves is incredible!! It starts super hot and surprisingly rocky, then eventually winds its way slowly into gorgeous, aquatic, semi ambient Type 2. Another MUST HEAR!!!! It finishes out by rising to spastic THX synth 1999-style quasi-ambience before RAGING to a finale!! The X Factor is glowing strong tonight!!!

And its not over yet!!!

15 min all timr Waves into 20 min all timer Ruby Waves!!! Ruby wastes no time picking up where Waves left off and basically spends 20 INSANE Type II, fire-from-the-sky minutes ANNIHILATING EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!

THAT WAVES/RUBY WAVES WAS ONE OF THE MOST INCREDIBLE THINGS IVE EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE!!!! HOLY CRAP!!!!!!

:faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint:

Seriously, we are talking Winston-Salem 97 Disease levels of "not letting up" heat....

After a beautiful Shade to cool us off (4th degree burns from that Ruby Waves.....), we get a red hot, 11 min Chalkdust. Chalkdust wastes no time getting grindy and dirty!!! As with Ruby Waves, they rage this sucker to oblivion, absolutely laying into the wackiness on this one. They are digging in hard. Headbangers rejoice!!!!!! Incredible!!! Eventually it builds to an extended peak section extremely similar to the Camden 99 Dust.
Soaring peaks!!!! From here it quiets down and blisses out for several wonderful minutes before moving into....

An 18 minute Gin!! What is this, a dang festival set?!?!?
Gin is perfectly uptempo and hot. No dragging tonight! Gin is similar to Wave. It mostlt spends its duration in porno-wah rager mode. Super hot and danceable. A definite "vamp it out" jam. Killer. Minimal fx or ambience, just tons of heat!!!!!

Golgi and C Zero in the encore rock us to the finish line.

Guys, you NEED to hear this show!!! Go! GO NOW! GOOOO!!!!!!
